A Nigerian woman identified as Sis. Oby Evelyn has given birth to triplets, two girls and a boy.
According to Evelyn, who took to Instagram to celebrate her joy, she has been married for 14 years without a child. She said she has been mocked and called names for 14 years because she could not ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ and bear a child.
Evelyn said that she was given two bags of blood to aid her during the delivery process. She added that though she is very healthy, medical officials said she needs to be monitored before she can be discharged. Her mother, Saudatu Haruna, said that the birth was not a surprising one as it runs in the family, adding that she gave birth to a set of twins on two different occasions. She said that her mother was also a triplet while her father was a twin.
On her post, she wrote, “I am speechless. l don’t know how to begin this because my mouth is full of praise. The joy is unbeatable. In fact, nothing beats this moment. God has given me triple for my shame and mockery after 14 solid years of marriage.”
