2-year-old can’t quite read yet, but enthusiastically shares story with baby sister

She might not be able to read – or talk! – yet, but she sure knows how to take care of her baby sister!
Oh, siblings. Whether or not you like yours – you still gotta love ’em.
When we grow up and become adults, our siblings might not be as close to us as they once were when we were growing up. If you’re lucky, though, hopefully, you get a little closer. But it’s when we’re kids that we tend to have the fondest memories with our sisters or brothers. They’re usually our best friends! And that’s exactly how Winter and her baby sister, Snow, are.

You see, Winter Molden is just 2-years-old and she’s from North Carolina. Recently, a video was uploaded to Instagram of the adorable toddler ‘reading’ to her baby sister, Snow, and it immediately went viral. The cuteness is just out of control!

Michelle Dee is the mother of the precious duo and when she saw the pair in action, she immediately picked up the camera – and we’re so glad she did.
The video was originally uploaded to Instagram on January 15, 2020 – and since then, multiple news and media outlets have shared it. Why? Because it’s one of the best sibling videos people have seen a very long time. Michelle shared the video along with the caption:

“Winter loves reading to @snowmolden out loud just like Mama! This is so beautiful to see!”

In the short snippet of a video, we get a glimpse into the daily life of these two sweetie-pie sisters. They’re both wearing adorable, matching pink onesies with unicorns on them and they’re sitting on the couch, snuggling up after their baths.

Winter and Snow are used to mom reading them a bedtime story, but this time? Winter thought she’d take over this evening – even though she really can’t read at all!
Winter has their book, “Big Fish, Little Fish,” propped in her lap with her baby sister seated right next to her. With all the confidence in the world, she begins to ‘read’ out loud – just like mom does!

Since Winter is only 2-years-old, of course, she’s not reading. In fact, she doesn’t even really talk yet! So the gibberish that comes out of her mouth just elevates the cuteness of the video to the next level.

Only knowing a couple of real words from the book, Winter gets very excited when she says the word ‘HAT!’ with total enthusiasm. Touching her head, then Snow’s head.

You can hear Michelle, their mom, in the background sharing words of encouragement and telling Winter to continue reading to her sister – clearly, they’re a wonderful and loving family!

Once the video was uploaded, of course, the comments started to flood in from people all around the world. Some people commenting on how smart they’ll be in the future, while others saying that more kids need books in their lives

“The fact that she realizes her sister is delicate and not to pat her head too hard broke me I cried lol awwwww,” said Mermaid Monroe.

“I like the small baby’s commitment to listen. She is gonna do well in school,” shared 1 Sub For The Pug ?.

“Well done to the parents, who didnt give their kids a tablet to do what they want. This is how children read, they look at books, then they start to look at the pictures to make a story, telling you what is happening in the picture and then they start to read the basic words. Kids this age doesnt need TABLETS. THEY NEED BOOKS TO TURN PAGES AND NOT SWIPE,” posted Julie Newman.

“That is so sweet..that reminds me of when I used to read to my little sister when we were kids..I’d read her “Miss Suzy” and there was a part in the book where Miss Suzy was making herself an acorn cake(she was a squirrel) and I would sing the little song the character was singing and my sister would laugh every time..ah,such wonderful memories,” posted Sunshine MishasMommy

No matter your opinion on the video, you can’t deny it’s extreme cuteness. Watch the entire video in its entirety below.
