Sometimes doctors are wrong. Couple resigned to childlessness gives birth to triplets

A woman was in seventh heaven after discovering she was pregnant with triplets despite suffering from a rare condition in which her uterus was split in two. Due to a rare disease, a woman could not give birth for a long time 33-year-old Gemma Sheppard from Newport believed that this rare disease, due to which her uterus is divided into two cavities, would make it difficult for her to have a child.

So she and her husband, Anton, 32, were stunned when doctors told them they were having triplets. Hugging six-month-old daughters Elevin and Area and son Rim, Gemma, who works in finance, said: Anton and I would love to have one child, but to have such a big and wonderful family in one go is just amazing.

Gemma and Anton always thought that they would never be able to have children. They were amazed when they became pregnant with triplets. The couple dreamed of having a family together, but they suffered several miscarriages and were afraid that they would never have a child. They were amazed when they found out that Gemma was pregnant, and even more surprised when the doctors told her they were triplets. Women with the rare condition, also known as bipedal uterus, or arcuate uterus, are more likely to have miscarriages or give birth prematurely.

After several miscarriages and total desperation, the couple decided to turn to private fertility treatment using intrauterine insemination. Gemma and Anton delivered their babies at Cardiff University Hospital Wales on 20 December via caesarean section. The babies were born healthy and strong. The Sheppards are now living with their new adorable family. Their longtime dream finally came true with a triple return.
